Kentuckiana Pride Foundation, University of Louisville LGBTQ Network and PLAY Dance Bar are proud to announce the “Inaugural Official Homecoming Kick-Off Party" for the LGBTQ Organization.
This event is the first ever of this type at the University and no other school in the State of Kentucky has sanctioned such an event for the LGBTQ community. Giving the LGBTQ Community a chance to be acknowledged as part of homecoming week and show support. The significance of this Homecoming party is to not only bring together all the UofL fans abroad, but to shed in a positive light the LGBTQ Community and it’s outstanding members and what we offer to the community.
This event is also a kick-off of UofL Pride Week-Come Together Kentucky Conference 2016 November 3-6. CTK is annual LGBTQ+ themed conference for college students to come together throughout the state. The key note speaker for this conference will be Michael Sam, the First Openly Gay NFL Player.
This Homecoming Kickoff Party will take place Friday, October 21st at Play Louisville, 1101 E. Washington Street Louisville, KY 40202. If you wear your UofL attire, you will gain free admission between 8 and 10.
There will also be a benefit for the House of Ruth going on and donations will be accepted at the door. There will be special guests speaking; you never know who will be there; it surely is an event you definitely don’t want to miss!
